Summer Flu

Here's to feeling helpless. It is 10:27PM on a Saturday night and Trace just went back to bed after getting sick again. He's been sick since last night. He ran a fever and pretty much cried all day saying his head hurt. I went ahead and called the doctor and there is a bad "summer flu" going around which seems to fit Trace to a tee. I called because it was the first time in his life that I haven't really been able to calm him down or console him and it has been scary/sad for me. I had to call JP earlier today because Trace wanted daddy home. Then when I went to get medicine, JP said Trace said he wanted both me and daddy home. This should pass soon (we pray)...but it just hit home to me and JP how horrible it is to see your child hurt and not be able to do much of anything. We can't even imagine what it must be like for parents of kids that are truly sick or injured, so I will say a prayer for them all tonight and continue to pray for a quick recovery and health for my little ones.
